Connect the charging hose of the manifold valve to charge the end of the low-pressure valve.

Add dry nitrogen to a pressure of 200 lbs.

Tightly close both high- and low-pressure valves.

Leak-test flare fittings with soap bubbles.

If no leak is detected, release nitrogen.

Ensure the unit is turned off and disconnected from the main power supply.

Avoid using water to wash the unit.

Use a stable standing platform during cleaning.

Open the front panel to about a 60-degree angle without forcing it.

Remove the filter as indicated in the figure.

Clean the filter using the appropriate method

Reinstall the filter and close the panel cover tightly.

Ensure the air conditioning system is turned off

Verify that the outdoor unit is accessible

Determine Additional Refrigerant Required

Measure the total length of the piping in feet

Select the model of the air conditioning system

Calculate the additional refrigerant required based on the model and extra piping length

Enter the current refrigerant level

Add water to the indoor unit drain pan

Verify if the water drains easily out the condensate drain hose

If water does not drain easily, take corrective actions

Connect gauge manifold and micron gauge to the service ports at the liquid and suction service valves

Connect a vacuum pump to the manifold gauge

Open the lower pressure side of the manifold valve assembly and start the vacuum pump

Is the switch at the high pressure side of the manifold valve assembly closed?

Monitor the vacuum until it reaches 500 microns or less

Record the evacuation duration in minutes
