Connect gauge manifold and micron gauge

Connect a vacuum pump to the manifold gauge

Open the lower pressure side of the manifold valve assembly and start the vacuum pump

Ensure the high pressure side of the manifold valve assembly is closed

Monitor vacuum until 500 microns or less is achieved

Record evacuation duration in minutes

Connect the charging hose of the manifold valve to charge the end of the low-pressure valve.

Add dry nitrogen to a pressure of 200 lbs.

Tightly close both high- and low-pressure valves.

Leak-test flare fittings with soap bubbles.

If no leak is detected, release nitrogen.

Ensure the air conditioning system is turned off

Verify that the outdoor unit is accessible

Enter the total length of the piping in feet

Select the model of the air conditioning system

Calculate the additional refrigerant required in ounces

Ensure all safety equipment is worn

Add water to the indoor unit drain pan

Did the water drain easily out of the condensate drain hose?

If water does not drain easily, perform the following actions

Ensure the unit is turned off and disconnected from the main power supply

Avoid using water to wash the unit

Use a stable standing platform during cleaning

If the filter is very dirty, use warm water (below 110°F) to clean it
