3 Monthly Exhaust System Check
WARNING! Bodily injury hazard. Do not inspect while the engine is running. Remove the key to secure from operation
CAUTION! Burn hazard. Beware of hot engine components. Contact with hot engine components may result in severe burns
All nuts and bolts are tight
All welds are free of cracks
No exhaust leaks detected (i.e., no carbon buildup around seams and joints)
Sign off on the exhaust system check
3 Monthly Turntable Level Sensor Test
- Test the Turntable Level Sensor - Z-135/70, ZX-135/70, SX-105 XC, SX-125 XC, SX-135 XC, SX-150 and SX-180
A properly functioning level sensor (SCON) is essential to safe machine operation. The ECM at the ground controls (CON) monitors the position and angle of the machine using the signal from the level sensor. The level sensor signal is used to control the maximum working height of the primary and secondary booms
Note: A digital level will be required to perform this procedure
Note: A kit is available through Genie Product Support (Genie part number 58351). This kit includes a digital level with a magnetic base and cable harnesses
Note: A properly calibrated digital level is essential to proper machine calibration. Refer to the manufactures calibration information
Note: Use the following chart to identify the description of each LCD screen control button used in this procedure
Note: Perform this procedure with the booms in the fully stowed position and the axles fully extended
1. Place the machine on a firm surface that has a side slope greater than 2° (6.5 inches / 16.5 cm) but less than 5° (16 inches / 40.6 cm)
2. Place a digital level that has been calibrated to gravity on the X axis of the turntable
50 Hourly Track Tension Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Track assembly cleaned of any dirt, rocks, clay, etc.
Tracks at one end of the machine chocked to prevent rolling
Lifting jack of ample capacity (20,000 Ibs / 10,000 kg) centered under the drive chassis
Machine lifted until the tracks are off the ground and jack stands placed under the drive chassis for support
Visual inspection of the section of track under the bogey wheels performed
Less than 1 inch / 2.5 cm of gap between the bogey wheels and the inside surface of the track
Grease plug on the track tension cylinder located and loosened
Grease zerk fitting on the other side of the track tension cylinder located
3 Monthly Generator Belts Inspection
WARNING! Bodily injury hazard. Do not inspect while the engine is running. Remove the key to secure from operation
CAUTION! Bodily injury hazard. Beware of hot engine components. Contact with hot engine components may cause severe burns
Note: Charging the batteries with the engine does not fully charge the batteries. Periodically, use the AC battery charger to fully charge the batteries
All fasteners and cables on the generator are tight
Engine flywheel cover mounting fasteners removed
Pulley mounting fasteners are tight and pulleys show no signs of damage or unusual wear
Engine pulley and the generator pulley are aligned within specification using a straightedge
Pulley alignment, maximum offset: 0.0625 inch / 1.58 mm
Inspect the generator belts for
Initial 150 Hours Hydraulic Filter Maintenance
Visual Inspection of the Hydraulic Oil
Inspect the Hydraulic Filters
After performing maintenance, perform scheduled services
Sign off on the hydraulic filter maintenance
