Gast Manufacturing Air Motor 2AM-FCC-1

Use Gast #AD220 or a detergent SAE #10 automotive engine oil for lubricating

Operate the motor for approximately 2 hours at the maximum desired load

Measure the surface temperature of the motor on the casting opposite the pipe ports

Is the surface temperature within the normal range (not exceeding 275 degrees F/135 degrees C)?

Consult with your Gast Distributor/Representative if the temperature exceeds the listed value

Ensure safety precautions are followed

Disconnect air line and muffler

Select the type of flushing solvent used

If using liquid solvent, pour several tablespoons directly into the intake port

If using Gast #AH255B, spray solvent into intake port

Rotate the shaft by hand in both directions for a few minutes

Wear eye protection, cover exhaust with a cloth and reconnect the air line

Restart the motor at a low pressure

MAINTENANCE - Cleaning the sound absorber

Inspect muffler for non-lubricated operation

Change muffler element to avoid excessive clogging

Disconnect air supply and vent all air lines

Flush product in a well ventilated area

Avoid using kerosene or other combustible solvents

Check intake and exhaust filters after first 500 hours of operation

Determine how frequently filters should be checked during future operation
