MAINTENANCE - Automatic Lubrication

Verify the following conditions for units with automatic inline oiler

Is the inline oiler feeding 1 drop of oil per minute?

Is there any sign of oil overfeeding?

Check if exhaust air is free from oil contamination

Select the oil type used for lubricating

Operate the motor for approximately 2 hours at the maximum desired load

Measure the surface temperature of the motor on the casting opposite the pipe ports

Enter the maximum surface temperature listed on the motor

Is the measured surface temperature within the maximum listed value?

Did the measured temperature exceed 275 degrees F/135 degrees C?

Consult with your Gast Distributor/Representative for a recommendation if the temperature exceeds the listed value

Maintenance - Manual Lubrication

Add 10-20 drops of oil to the air motor intake port

Was the lubrication completed successfully?

MAINTENANCE - Automatic Lubrication

Check intake and exhaust filters after first 500 hours of operation

Determine how frequently filters should be checked during future operation
