Change the compressor lubricant. Flush system if required.

Fill the system with a 50 percent charge of the new lubricant

Allow the machine to run about five minutes at temperature, then shut down

Change to a new filter and separator

Fill the system with a full charge of the new lubricant, then reinstall drain plug

Select the method used to drain the oil system

Was the oil drained while hot to prevent varnish deposits?

Is the drained oil and/or oil filter element contaminated with dirt?

Flush the entire system: reservoir, oil cooler, mixing valve, and lines if contamination is present.

Inspect the oil separator elements for dirt accumulation and replace if necessary.

Contact the factory for recommendations if varnish deposits exist.

Enter the current reservoir oil level

Add oil if required, ensuring not to mix lubricants

Observe if the unit loads and unloads properly

Enter the discharge temperature

Check Panel LED’s for advisories

Check if 'CHANGE AIR FILTER' message is displayed.

Is the air filter element genuine Gardner Denver?

Remove the wingnut and pull out the filter element.

Visually inspect the filter element for cleaning necessity.

Does the element require cleaning?

Soak the element in warm water with mild nonsudsing detergent for 15 minutes.

Ensure the unit is completely off and no air pressure is in the oil reservoir.

Disconnect, tag, and lockout power supply to the starter.

Remove screws holding the top plate to the separator housing.

Lift the top plate from the separator housing.

Lift the separator from the separator housing.

Separator Inspection and Preparation

Inspect the separator and replace if necessary.
