Low Water Cutoff Test and Reset

Boiler and System Leak Inspection

Inspect all water and gas piping and verify to be leak free

Look for signs of leaking lines and correct any problems found

Verify that boiler area is free of hazards

Verify that air intake area is free of contaminants

If contaminants are present, have they been removed?

If contaminants cannot be removed, have the air and vent lines been reinstalled per the manual?

Check pressure/temperature gauge

Enter the current pressure reading

Enter the current temperature reading

Is the pressure within the normal range?

Verify all system components are correctly installed and operational

Enter the cold fill pressure for the system

Is the cold fill pressure at least 12 psi (82.7 kPa)?

Monitor the system pressure as the boiler heats up

Does the system pressure remain within safe limits during heating?

Inspect automatic air vents and air separators

Test boiler water according to the Crest Installation and Operation Manual guidelines.

Does the test indicate the need for cleaning the system water?

Clean system water with approved system restorer following the manufacturer’s information.

Record any observations or issues found during the test.

Technician's signature to confirm completion of the test.

Flue Vent System and Air Piping Inspection

Check vent piping and air piping

Visually inspect the entire flue gas venting system and air piping for blockage, deterioration, or leakage.

Repair any joints that show signs of leakage.

Verify that air inlet pipe is connected and properly sealed.

Verify that boiler vent discharge and air intake are clean and free of obstructions.

Air and Vent Termination Screens

Check air and vent termination screens for cleanliness and obstructions.
