Inspect boiler ground wire from the heat exchanger access cover to ground terminal strip.

Verify all wiring is in good condition and securely attached.

Check ground continuity of wiring using continuity meter.

Is the ground continuity satisfactory?

Replace ground wires if ground continuity is not satisfactory.

Verify that boiler area is free of

Verify that air intake area is free of contaminants

If contaminants are present, have they been removed?

If contaminants cannot be removed, have the air and vent lines been reinstalled per the manual?

Check pressure/temperature gauge

Enter the current pressure reading from the gauge

Enter the current temperature reading from the gauge

Is the pressure within the normal operating range?

Verify that boiler area is free of any combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids.

Verify that air intake area is free of any contaminants.

If contaminants are present, have they been removed or air and vent lines reinstalled as per manual?

Remove the front access covers and inspect the interior of the boiler.

Vacuum any sediment from inside the boiler and components. Remove any obstructions.

Inspect the condensate drain line, vent line, condensate PVC fittings, and condensate trap.

Flue Vent System and Air Piping Inspection

Inspect flue gas venting system and air piping for blockage, deterioration, or leakage

Repair any joints that show signs of leakage

Verify air inlet pipe is connected and properly sealed

Verify boiler vent discharge and air intake are clean and free of obstructions

Air and Vent Termination Screens

Check air and vent termination screens

Remove the ignition electrode from the burner plate

Remove both flame sense electrodes from the burner plate

Electrode Cleaning and Replacement

Remove deposits from the ignition/flame sense electrodes using sandpaper

Were the electrodes cleaned satisfactorily?

Replace electrodes if they cannot be cleaned satisfactorily

Ensure the following are in good condition and correctly positioned
