Turn off the product and disconnect it from the mains supply

Locate the mains fuse holder at the rear of the product

Unplug the unit from the mains voltage supply

Allow the unit to cool before undertaking any maintenance tasks

Is the maintenance being performed by a competent electrician?

Ensure proper care in operation to maintain reliable service

Check for contamination or general misuse that may reduce the effective life of the product

Inspect for damage with particular attention to the following

Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves

Unplug or disconnect the mantle from the mains electricity supply

Turn the EM single heater mantles upside down on a clean dry surface

Remove the plastic rivets from around the base of the mantle and remove the base

Remove the 3 cross-head screws and the triangular base plate on 2, 3, and 5 litre models
