Liquid Line Solenoid Testing
Preparation
Ensure the model is a remote model
Put the controller into test mode by depressing Off for 3 seconds then Clean for 3 seconds
Test Cycle Verification
Is the Condenser Fan motor indicator light on at the end of the test cycle?
Is the liquid line valve open at the end of the test cycle?
Voltage Check
Check the voltage to the liquid line valve coil at the end of the test
Is there voltage at the liquid line lead connection?
Water Level Sensor Testing
Indicator Lights Test
Ensure unit is powered up and water is in the sump. Add water manually if needed.
Locate water level sensor and release from sump cover.
Lift sensor until mid-length probe is out of the water.
Did the sump empty light turn ON?
If unit is on, did the inlet water solenoid valve open?
Return water level sensor to normal position.
If unit is on and calling for ice, did the sump full light turn ON?
Ohmmeter Test
Ice Thickness Sensor Testing
Indicator Light Test
Observe the Ready To Harvest light
Shut the machine off
Connect the metal part of the Ice Thickness sensor to the evaporator or touch its metal surface to the metal control box wall
Did the Ready for Harvest light turn ON?
Ohmmeter Test
Disconnect electrical power
Open the control box cover
Unplug the ice thickness sensor lead from the controller
Pressure Switches Testing
Fan Pressure Switch Testing
Attach refrigeration gauge set to high side port
Unplug both wires from fan pressure control and wrap terminals in electrical tape
Connect ohmmeter to terminals of fan pressure control
Switch ice machine on
Observe and record pressure at which the pressure control closes
Is the closing pressure within specification?
Switch unit off and allow system to equalize
Observe and record pressure at which the pressure control opens
6 Monthly Machine Cleaning

Check indicator light for cleaning interval
Is the machine in Clean mode?
Press the Clean button to start Manual Harvest
Ensure the reservoir is drained and refilled
Did the controller blink A d 1 to indicate scale remover addition?
Add nickel safe ice machine scale remover
Verify the controller circulates and flushes out the scale remover
Post Cleaning Inspection
