Electrothermal Engineering Heating Mantle EM3000/CE

Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves.

Follow guidelines for working with Refractory Ceramic Fibres (RCF) as per ECFIA Code of Practice.

Unplug or disconnect the mantle from the mains electricity supply.

Turn the EM single heater mantles upside down on a clean dry surface.

Remove the plastic rivets from around the base of the mantle and remove the base.

Remove the 3 cross-head screws and the triangular base plate on 2, 3, and 5 litre models.

Unplug the unit from the mains voltage supply

Allow the unit to cool before maintenance

Ensure maintenance is directed by the Responsible Body

Verify that a competent electrician is performing the maintenance

Inspect for damage with particular attention to the following

Unplug the unit from the mains voltage supply

Has the unit cooled down completely?

Use a clean cloth to wipe the equipment

Avoid using solvents for cleaning any part of the equipment

Inspect the equipment for any signs of damage or contamination

Describe any issues found during inspection

Unplug the unit from the mains voltage supply

Allow the unit to cool before undertaking any maintenance tasks

Is maintenance being carried out under the direction of the Responsible Body by a competent electrician?

Turn off the product and disconnect it from the mains supply

Refer to Technical specification for correct fuse type and rating

Locate the mains fuse holder at the rear of the product

Unplug the unit from the mains voltage supply

Allow the unit to cool before undertaking any maintenance tasks

Is maintenance being carried out under the direction of the Responsible Body?

Is the maintenance being performed by a competent electrician?

Ensure proper care in operation to extend equipment life

Avoid contamination or general misuse to prevent hazards
