DRAEGER Intensive Care Ventilator Babylog 8000 Plus

Disconnect the Babylog 8000/Babylog 8000 plus/Babylog 8000 SC from the mains supply

Disconnect the gas supply hoses from the central gas supply/gas cylinder

Disengage the Babylog 8000/Babylog 8000 plus/Babylog 8000 SC from the trolley by loosening the knurled nuts on the rear panel

Remove screws from panels and straps

Gently lift the top part and place it next to the bottom part

Remove the screws from the gas supply connection plate

Remove the two filters and the gasket

Adjust Parameters on Babylog Devices

Adjust the following parameters on the Babylog 8000/ Babylog 8000 plus/Babylog 8000 SC

Switch off occurring alarms and warnings by pressing the 'Reset/Check' key

Press and hold the manual inspiration key

Record the pressure achieved during the 5-second test

Was a pressure of at least 75 mbar achieved during the test?

Manual Calibration After Sensor Replacement

Press the key 2 in the main menu

Wait for approximately 5 minutes until 'O2 Cal' disappears from the status field

Prepare the test set-up as per the figure

Select the Babylog model and software version

Enter the measured opening pressure (mbar)

Select inspiratory flows from the list menu

Allow approx. 1 min between setting and measurement of flow values (< 2 L/min)

If no values are set, allow the alarm 'FiO2 deviation' to occur
