Water Trap Removal and Emptying

Pull the water trap out towards the front

Ensure the water trap has not been used longer than four weeks

Dispose of the old water trap according to WaterLock instructions

Comply with the hospital’s hygiene requirements during disposal

Is the diaphragm removed without damage?

Prepare diaphragm for conditioning in a cleaning and disinfecting machine

Ensure diaphragm is not reprocessed with light-colored, transparent silicone components

Filter Conditioning Preparation

Prepare the microbial filter for conditioning according to the corresponding instructions for use

Check that the filter has been removed completely

Inspect the nozzle for any remaining debris

Record any issues encountered during removal

Pull the old water trap off to the front and dispose of it with domestic waste. Observe the hospital's hygiene regulations!

Mark the new water trap with the current date. Use the space provided for this purpose.

Push the new water trap into place until it engages.

Is the monitor free of alarm messages after replacement?

Check if the new water trap is securely engaged.

Unscrew the sample line from the Y-piece

Unscrew the sample line from the water trap on the front of the unit

Ensure no gas measurement failure risk

Ensure device is not at risk of failure

Dispose of the sample gas line according to hospital's hygiene regulations
