Torwel Spreader Economizer

Remove E1B Spinner Disc and E7 Chute (with E7-1 Extension if applicable)

Remove E23 'V' Belts from E22 Mag Clutch (Right Side)

Remove 1/2" Hex Nut from E39 Tapered Main Drive Shaft (Right Side)

Disconnect E31 61 Pitch Chain (Left Side)

Is the gate operating smoothly after adjustment?

Describe any issues encountered during adjustment

Check the condition of components

Check for wear on driveshaft bearings

Is the conveyor chain tension adequate?

Check or Change Gear Reduction Box Oil

Check or Change Engine Oil Filter

Check or Change Engine Fuel Filter

Check or Change Spark Plugs (.030 Gap)

Tighten both take-up bolts equally until chain slack is gone and chain does not ride on the base support channels.

Ensure chain deflection is 1 inch or less.

Check that the take-up shaft is not cocked at an angle.

Ensure the spreader is not operating during the chain adjustment.
