Tension Control Replacement
Cover and Spring Removal
Refer to 9.3.1 and 9.3.2 to remove the covers.
Remove the spring (Figure A).
Turn the cover to left and it will be removed (Figure B).
Tension Knob and Frame Cover Removal
Remove the 2 screws holding tension knob to the frame (Figure C).
Remove the tension knob (Figure D).
Remove the 4 screws holding front frame cover to the frame (Figure E).
Cable and Tension Wire Removal

Pre-Use Inspection
Check for any damaged, worn, or broken parts
Ensure all labels and nameplates are intact and readable
Are there any loose fasteners or unusual noises?
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean all exposed surfaces with a damp, soft cloth and mild detergent
Keep the display console free of fingerprints and salt build-up
Vacuum the floor underneath the unit to remove dust and dirt
Check for dust inside flywheel using a flashlight

Ensure no equipment is damaged or has worn or broken parts
Use only replacement parts supplied by local MATRIX dealer
Label and Nameplate Maintenance
Ensure all labels and nameplates are maintained and not removed
Are all labels readable and present?
General Equipment Maintenance
Inspect equipment at regular intervals
Is the person performing maintenance qualified?
Generator Replacement
Removal of Old Generator
Remove screws and wire
Installation of New Generator
Ensure the belt is on the generator plastic wheel (Figure C)
Position the screw at the left side of the hole to ensure the belt is tight (Figure D)
Belt Pulley Set Replacement
Removal Steps
Remove the Left/Right spiral spring as outlined in Section 9.5.
Remove the belt (Figure A). Note: This is a flexonic belt. Remove the flexonic belt by walking it off the side of the pulley.
Remove the grip (Figure B).
Remove the rope rubber (Figure C).
Remove the 6 screws holding Left/Right belt pulley set to the frame (Figure D).
Installation Steps
When the belt pulley set is fixed, put the belt installation tool on the pulley, turn the pulley until the belt is installed (Figure E).
If there’s no belt installation tool, use 3 pcs cable tie to fix the pulley and belt (Figure F).
