Warning: Ensure to wear appropriate PPE before starting the procedure

Type of coolant and lubricant used

Type of oils and/or fluids used

Sign off on the bandsaw lubrication

The belt driving the input sheave has been stretched

Loosen the screws that mount the drive motor and slide the motor to the left

Slip the old belt from the pulleys and install the new one

Slide the drive motor to the right to tighten the belt so there is very little deflection of the belt

When correct belt tension is achieved, tighten the screws

Loosening the motor mounting bolts

Loosen the worn tire with a screwdriver or other flat tool

Stretch the tire if necessary to remove it

Install a new tire by stretching it over the bandwheel

Sign off on the tire replacement

Warning: Stop the machine when cleaning the machine or opening bandwheel doors or covers.

Machine stopped before cleaning?

Bandwheel doors or covers opened safely?

Machine and its parts cleaned to prevent excessive wear and damage?

Chip drawer removed and chips disposed when necessary?

Sign off on the bandsaw cleaning

Band Tension Screw and Bearing. Clean and apply oil.

Post, Optional Post Elevating and Gears. Clean and apply oil.

Bandwheel Slides, Hinges, and Tilt Screws. Clean and apply oil.

Table Trunnion. Oil tilt surfaces.

Miscellaneous: Slides, Hinges, Pivot Points, Component Parts, Unpainted Surfaces, etc. Clean and apply oil as required.

Accessory Equipment as Supplied. Keep clean and apply oil as required to maintain proper function, reduce wear, and corrosion, etc.

Recommended: High quality, rust and oxidation-inhibited, medium hydraulic and general purpose industrial oil.

ISO-VG Grade 68 (Formerly ASTM Grade No. 315).

Union 76, UNAX RX 68, or equivalent.
