Belt Replacement

BAND DRIVE BELT

The belt driving the input sheave has been stretched

To replace the belt:

Loosen the screws that mount the drive motor and slide the motor to the left

Check mark

Slip the old belt from the pulleys and install the new one

Check mark

Slide the drive motor to the right to tighten the belt so there is very little deflection of the belt

Check mark

When correct belt tension is achieved, tighten the screws

Tension the belt by:

Loosening the motor mounting bolts

Loosen the worn tire with a screwdriver or other flat tool

Stretch the tire if necessary to remove it

Clean the bandwheel

Install a new tire by stretching it over the bandwheel

Table Trunnion. Oil tilt surfaces.

Miscellaneous: Slides, Hinges, Pivot Points, Component Parts, Unpainted Surfaces, etc. Clean and apply oil as required.
