Check for any unsafe conditions and maintenance concerns

Inspect the hitch for excessive wear or cracks

Check the tongues of the hitch coupler for wear

Ensure bolts attaching the hitch are not loose

Check the front door track for material blockage or damage

Empty all material from the hopper and chock the wheel(s) on the opposite side of the Turf Tender.

Hook the Turf Tender to a tractor with the parking brake set.

Jack up the frame directly in front of the axle mount.

Support the frame with jack stands. Avoid using cement blocks or unstable piles of wood blocks.

Remove the eight walking beam axle mounting bolts and nuts (four at the front and four at the rear).

Roll axle assembly out to the rear.

Stand the axle assembly on end and remove the wheel bolts.

Check for the following issues in the hydraulic fluid

Heat a sheet of steel to over 300°F

Drop a small amount of hydraulic fluid on the heated steel

Did the fluid sputter indicating significant water content?

Was any contamination or issue found with the hydraulic fluid?

Drain the entire hydraulic system if contamination was found

Loosen the four bolts securing the motor mount to the frame

Loosen the jam nut on right-hand adjusting bolt

Adjust the adjusting bolts to loosen or tighten the belt

Test the conveyor for proper tension and alignment

Loosen the four bolts securing the motor mount to the frame

Loosen the jam nut on right-hand adjusting bolt

Adjust the adjusting bolts to loosen the belt equally on both sides

Pull the old belt out of the conveyor

Thread the new belt into the conveyor starting on high end
