Position the conveyor belt rear roller 5 1/4 in. (13.3 cm) from back wall of vertical chute.

Ensure the conveyor belt is properly aligned and tensioned.

Are all tires properly inflated to the recommended pressure?

Verify that the spinner shafts are vertical.

Adjust the hopper wipers tightly down onto the conveyor belt.

Set the metering gate opening to the approximate material flow rate.

Calibrate spinner speed to 325-350 RPM.

Run the conveyor until the belt splice is close to the front of the Turf Tender; then shut the vehicle’s engine off.

Ensure the vehicle’s engine is not running before starting the belt replacement procedure.

Loosen the jam nut securing each of the four belt tensioning bolts (on both sides, front and rear).

Loosen the two nuts securing the drive motor mount to the hopper frame on the drive motor side (front and back).

Loosen the four belt tensioning bolts (one on each side of both the front and rear rollers), ensuring each is loosened the same number of turns.

Rotate the loose belt until the splice is at the front of the Turf Tender.

Loosen the four bolts securing the motor mount to the frame

Loosen the jam nut on right-hand adjusting bolt

Adjust the adjusting bolts to loosen the belt equally on both sides

Pull the old belt out of the conveyor

Thread the new belt into the conveyor starting on high end

Clean and wash the hopper and conveyor regularly, especially after hauling potentially corrosive materials such as fertilizer.

Keep the belt tight when in use.

Loosen the belt at the front rollers when the Turf Tender is not in use for an extended period.

Loosen the belt for winter storage to account for contraction due to temperature drops.

Check the belt periodically for tears and wear.

Ensure hydraulic fluid does not come in contact with the belt.
