3 Monthly Pump Alignment Inspection
6.1 Maintenance schedule — Three-month inspections
Check that the foundation and the hold-down bolts are tight
Check the shaft alignment
Realign the shaft if required
Shorten the inspection intervals if the pumped fluid is abrasive or corrosive or if the environment is classified as potentially explosive
1 Yearly Pump Performance Inspection
6.1 Maintenance schedule — Annual inspections
Enter the pump capacity
Enter the pump pressure
Enter the pump power
Does the pump performance satisfy the process requirements?
If the pump performance does not satisfy the process requirements, and the process requirements have not changed, then disassemble the pump, inspect it, and replace worn parts.
Is the pumped fluid abrasive or corrosive, or is the environment classified as potentially explosive?
If yes, describe how you will shorten the inspection intervals
Mechanical Seal Inspection
Mechanical-seal maintenance
Check the seal and all flush piping before starting the pump
Ensure the cleanliness of the pumped fluid
Verify the type of mechanical seal used
Disengage holding clips for cartridge seals installed by the user
Keep the manufacturer's reference drawing for future maintenance
Verify the required flush fluid and attachment points as per the seal drawing
Is the mechanical seal operating without any leaks?
Describe any issues found during the inspection
Coupling Alignment Check
4.3.1 Alignment checks
Perform alignment checks under these circumstances
Enter the Total Indicated Reading (T.I.R.) at operating temperature
Enter the tolerance of the indicator
4.3.3 Alignment measurement guidelines
Rotate the pump coupling half and the driver coupling half together so that the indicator rods have contact with the same points on the driver coupling half.
Move or shim only the driver to make adjustments.
Are the hold-down bolts for the driver tight when taking indicator measurements?
Are the hold-down bolts for the driver loose before making alignment corrections?
3800 Hourly Ball Bearing Lubrication
Grease lubrication schedule
Re-lubrication intervals by speed
Enter the actual operating speed (rpm)
Enter the grease quantity for suction side (oz)
Enter the grease quantity for discharge side (oz)
Lubricating-grease requirements
Select the grease type used
Is the temperature of pumped fluid less than 177°C | 350°F?
Was the rotor and old grease removed before regreasing?
