5 Yearly Relief Valve Replacement
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Is the valve closest to the valve stem leaking?
If yes, back seat the three-way valve all the way, closing the port to the leaking pressure relief valve.
Was the faulty pressure relief valve successfully removed and replaced?
Is the relief valve farthest from the valve stem leaking?
If yes, front seat the three-way valve.
Was the relief valve successfully replaced?
The refrigerant must be pumped down into the condenser before the evaporator relief valve can be removed.
Was the refrigerant successfully pumped down into the condenser?
1 Weekly Refrigerant Leak Test
Warning: Do not use oxygen or a mixture of R-22 and air to build up pressure as an explosion can occur causing serious personal injury.
Loss of the entire refrigerant charge?

1 Monthly Evaporator Temperature Approach Maintenance

Calculate the approach temperature (subtract saturated refrigerant temperature from leaving water temperature)
Note: Benchmark readings should be taken during startup and then periodically afterward.

Oil Filter Replacement
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Daikin chillers are at positive pressure at all times and do not leak contaminated moist air into the refrigerant circuit, thereby eliminating the need for annual oil changes.
An annual laboratory oil check is recommended to check overall compressor condition.
Isolate the filter cavities. Close the oil discharge line service valve at the oil pump (at the filter on CE126).
Remove the filter cover; some foaming can occur but the check valve should limit leakage from other compressor cavities.
Remove the filter, replace with new element, and replace filter cover using a new gasket.
Reopen the valve in the pump discharge line and purge air from the oil filter cavity.
When machine is operated again, the oil level must be checked to determine if oil needs to be added to maintain the proper operating level.
