If the approach temperature has increased by two-degrees or more, excessive tube fouling could be present.

Is the discharge pressure higher than normal?

Is the motor current higher than normal?

If either of the above checks are 'PASS', proceed to inspect the condenser tubes.

Are the condenser tubes fouled?

If 'PASS', proceed to clean the condenser tubes.

Procedure to remove the dished water heads

Is the chiller at positive pressure?

If not, report the issue to the maintenance team and stop the procedure

Is the oil discharge line service valve at the oil pump closed?

Calibrate Temperature Transducers

Verify Motor Load Limit Control

Maintenance of the refrigerant cycle

Record the condenser water temperature

Record the chiller water temperature

Record the suction line temperature at the compressor

Calculate the suction superheat by subtracting the saturated temperature equivalent of the suction pressure from the suction line temperature

Warning: Do not use oxygen or a mixture of R-22 and air to build up pressure as an explosion can occur causing serious personal injury.

Enter the initial pressure of the system in psig

Enter the pressure after adding refrigerant in psig

Enter the pressure after adding dry nitrogen in psig

Did the electronic leak detector find any leaks?

Is water flow through the vessels maintained?

Any leaks found in welded or brazed joints?

Is it necessary to replace a gasket?

If any leaks are found in welded or brazed joints, or it is necessary to replace a gasket, relieve the test pressure in the system before proceeding.
