Is the date of installation label present?
If the date of installation label is missing, replace belt within 3 years from the year of manufacture.
Year of manufacture as indicated on belt webbing label, buckle housing, or installation tags
Consult your Cat dealer for the replacement of the seat belt and the mounting hardware.
Manufacture date of new seat belt
Does the manufacture date of new seat belt exceed install by date on label?
Complete seat belt system should be installed with new mounting hardware.
5000 Hourly Excavator Maintenance
WARNING: Engine hood and engine hood parts can be hot while engine is running or immediately after engine shutdown. Hot parts or hot components can cause burns or personal injury. Do not allow these parts to contact your skin, when engine is running or immediately after engine shutdown. Use protective clothing or protective equipment to protect your skin.
NOTICE: If the engine is running or the key is in the ON position the ARD plug will continue to fire. Turn the key to the OFF position before servicing the ARD plug.
Machine positioned on a level surface and bucket lowered to the ground?
Hydraulic lockout control moved to the LOCKED position and engine stopped?
Exhaust system cooled before performing this procedure?
Engine hood unlatched and raised?
Any dirt or debris removed from the area around the spark plug?
Wire harness removed from spark plug?
Spark plug loosened and removed using a deep well socket and a breaker bar?

Condenser (Refrigerant) - Clean
NOTICE: If excessively dirty, clean condenser with a brush. To prevent damage or bending of the fins, do not use a stiff brush. Repair the fins if found defective.
Open the front access door on the left side of the machine. The condenser is located behind the cab.
Inspect the condenser for debris. Clean the condenser, if necessary.
Use clean water to wash off all dust and dirt from the condenser.
Close the access door.
Final Drive Oil Level - Check
WARNING: Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.
Position one final drive so that oil drain plug (2) is at the bottom.
