Outdoor Maintenance
Outdoor Coil Maintenance
Remove the chassis from the wall sleeve
Capture the refrigerant from the system
Debraze the inlet and discharge tubing from the outdoor coil
Remove all screws from the sides of the outdoor coil securing the shroud to the coil
Press the tabs on the right side of the shroud to separate the shroud from the outdoor coil
Does the model have a four piece condenser shroud?
Remove the two screws securing the outdoor coil to the base pan
Carefully lift the outdoor coil over the basepan lip
Escutcheon, Control Board And Control Panel Removal
Front Cover Removal
Remove front cover
Control Board Cover Removal
Remove the two mounting screws, one on each side of the control board cover
Tilt the control panel out and disconnect ribbon connector from control board
Control Board Disconnection
Disconnect all wiring to the control board
Label the wires to ensure proper reassembly

Disconnect all power sources to the unit
Verify that multiple power sources are not present
Chassis Removal
Remove the front cover
Remove screws securing the chassis to the wall sleeve
Carefully slide chassis out of wall sleeve
Capacitor Check
Remove front cover
Remove the two mounting screws, one on each side of the control board cover
Disconnect ribbon connector from control board
Disconnect all wiring to the capacitor
Remove the screw securing the capacitor mounting clamp to the center partition
Remove the capacitor
Check that all parts are in place after reassembly
Describe any issues encountered during the procedure
Confirm that the capacitor check is complete
Voltage Check

Disconnect all power sources before servicing or installing the unit
Verify multiple power sources are not present
Voltage Measurement
Measure the voltage across terminals L1 and L2 of the outlet
Is there a voltage reading across terminals L1 and L2?
