Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan

Ensure the unit is non-functional (fuses removed, disconnect locked off)

Motor Inspection and Preparation

Are grease fittings provided on the motor?

Inspect the motor for any signs of damage or wear

Is the motor temperature below 104ºF (40ºC)?

Grease the motor according to the manufacturer's recommendations

Disconnect all electrical power to the fan and secure to the 'off' position.

Ensure the unit is made non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect.

Clean the fan wheel evenly to prevent imbalance and vibration.

Clean the fan housing to ensure smooth and safe operation.

Check all fasteners for tightness

Was the fan wheel free of oil and dust accumulation?

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Was the source of moisture or dirt located and eliminated?

Is there any paint deterioration?

Does the fan have special coatings that require special techniques for touch-up or repair?

Check all fasteners and setscrews for tightness

Ensure the wheel rotates freely and is aligned as shown in Figure 7

Verify wheel position and test run alignment from the factory

Realign wheel if movement occurred during shipment

Centering height alignment for G model

Loosen the set screws in the wheel

Move the wheel to the desired position

Check wheel rotation by momentarily energizing the unit

Verify wheel rotation is clockwise as shown in Figure 8

Inspect the following components for tightness

Adjust and tighten components as necessary
