Disconnect all electrical power to the fan and secure to the 'off' position.

Ensure the unit is made non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect.

Clean the fan wheel evenly to prevent imbalance and vibration.

Clean the fan housing to ensure smooth and safe operation.

Check all fasteners for tightness

Is the fan wheel free of oil and dust accumulation?

Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan

Ensure the unit is made non-functional (fuses removed, disconnect locked off)

Are grease fittings provided on the motor?

Does the motor temperature exceed 104ºF (40ºC)?

Grease the motor according to manufacturer's recommendations if fittings are provided and temperature does not exceed 104ºF (40ºC)

Check for any signs of uneven cleaning or out of balance condition in the fan

Inspect the following components for tightness

Adjust and tighten components as necessary

Check all fasteners and setscrews for tightness

Ensure the wheel rotates freely and is aligned as shown in Figure 7

Verify wheel position and test run alignment from factory

Centering height alignment for G model

Loosen the set screws in the wheel

Move the wheel to the desired position

Check wheel rotation by momentarily energizing the unit

Is the wheel rotation clockwise as shown in Figure 8?

If wheel rotation is incorrect, reverse two of the wiring leads or check motor wiring for single phase

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Is there any paint deterioration?

Are there signs of rust on machined parts?

Rotate the wheel by hand ten to fifteen revolutions to distribute lubricant on motor

Describe the source of moisture or dirt accumulations and actions taken to eliminate it

Describe touch-up or repainting actions taken

Describe rust removal and preventive actions taken
