Ensure the compressor is running before inspection

Record the oil level in the sight-glass

Is the oil level visible through the sight-glass?

Is there a prolonged and excessive presence of foam during operation?

Is the oil level within the normal range?

Describe any issues observed during the inspection

Ensure all personal protective equipment is worn

Inspect the area for any obstructions around the coils

Gently brush the fins to avoid damage

Are there any foreign bodies blocking the coils?

Remove any foreign bodies from the coils

Wash the coils with water and detergent

Measure the pressure-drop between the inlet and outlet pipes using a differential pressure gauge.

Is the pressure-drop within the specified range?

Is there any incrustation or clogging detected?

Select the type of acid to use for cleaning

Enter the flow rate of the liquid detergent

Perform the first detergent cycle to clean the worst of the dirt.

Ensure all safety gear is worn before inspection

Confirm that the protective grilles are not removed during inspection

Check that the fan grilles are clear from obstructions

Inspect for any signs of damage on the fan grilles

Describe any issues found during inspection

Ensure the unit is switched off

Is the oil level partially covering the sight-glass on the level matching tube?

Switch on the unit and ensure it is in nominal conditions

Is the oil level clearly visible through the sight-glass and flat without ripples?

Pump out the compressors before topping up the oil
