Ensure no steel wool, abrasive or chlorine-based products are used on stainless steel surfaces.

Identify potential threats to stainless steel surfaces

Preventing Rust on Stainless Steel

Use non-abrasive cleaning tools such as soft cloths and plastic scouring pads.

Clean along the polish lines or grain of the stainless steel.

Use alkaline, alkaline chlorinated, or non-chloride containing cleaners.

Soften hard water to reduce deposits.

Ensure all required tools are available

Select the model type for grill removal

Remove lower grill assembly for Slide Door Models

Remove lower grill assembly for Swing Door Models

Disconnect the electrical power to the unit

Clean the finned condenser coil

Vacuum or brush the dirt, lint, or debris from the finned condenser coil

Blow out the condenser with compressed air if there is significant dirt build-up

Reconnect the electrical power to the unit
