Is the machine neither printing nor scanning?

Push the test button with the tip of a ball-point pen or similar object.

Did the breaker lever automatically go to the OFF position?

Turn the main power switch OFF.

Press 'OK' to confirm the adjustment

Press 'Done' to complete the procedure

Repeat the procedure if necessary

Turn off the main power switch and unplug the power plug.

Ensure not to use alcohol, benzene, paint thinner, or other solvents for cleaning.

Clean the platen glass with a cloth dampened with water.

Wipe the platen glass with a soft and dry cloth.

Clean the rear side of the platen glass cover with a cloth dampened with water.

Wipe the rear side of the platen glass cover with a soft and dry cloth.

Turn off the main power switch and unplug the power plug

Ensure not to use alcohol, benzene, paint thinner, or other solvents for cleaning

Unplug the power plug from the outlet at least once a year and clean the plug’s metal pins and surrounding area

Ensure the cleaning cloth is not too damp

Press 'Start' to begin roller cleaning

Press 'Cancel' to stop roller cleaning if needed

Ensure not to throw used toner cartridges into open flames.

Use only the recommended toner cartridge for this machine.

Is the <Add toner.> message displayed?

Ensure only one toner cartridge is added.

Open the front cover of the main unit.
