Remove the brush from the blower

Blow off the dust from the imaging lens with the blower

Is the lens stained by fingerprints or grease?

Wipe the lens surface lightly with sterile gauze or non-treated lens paper with lens cleaner

Ensure not to use the following for cleaning

Change the paper and wipe the lens several times until no cleaner is left on the surface

Turn the IR. FILTER knob counterclockwise until it stops

Inspect the objective lens for dust or stains

Blow off the dust from the objective lens with the blower

Wipe the lens lightly with sterile gauze or non-treated lens paper with lens cleaner if stained by fingerprints or grease

Change the paper and wipe the lens until no cleaner is left

Set the IR. FILTER knob to 'IN'

Unplug the power cable from the AC outlet

Ensure no flammable cleaning agents are used

Wipe the cover and monitor with a cloth soaked in neutral detergent diluted in water and wrung dry

Wipe the cover with a cloth soaked in water and wrung dry after using detergent

WARNING: The instrument must be repaired by a qualified engineer only. If it is not repaired properly, it may cause fire, electric shock, or accident.

CAUTION: For safety reasons, be sure to inspect the instrument daily before using it.

In order to ensure that the instrument is used safely and normally, please be sure to inspect the instrument before use.

If any problem is found during the inspection, please take measures indicated in this chapter. If problem still cannot be corrected, please contact Canon representative or distributor.

Check that cable is not damaged or cover of cable is not torn.

Check that the power cable is inserted fully into the connector on the instrument and into the AC receptacle.

Check that the cover or parts are not damaged and not loose.
