Adjustment
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
Flat on thread of stud aligned with the set screw?
Turn full circle only?
BASE SIDE CONTROL PEDAL LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT
150–200 pounds placed on the litter and pumped up to full height?
Base hood lifted and supported with bungee cords?
Pedal linkage adjustment nut loosened until the jack stops drifting?
Pedal linkage adjustment nut tightened until the jack begins to slowly descend?
Pedal linkage adjustment nut backed out four full turns?
Replacement
CASTER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
Remove the old caster assembly
Install the replacement caster and caster nut
Tighten the caster nut to 90–105 ft.–lb. with a torque wrench
FIFTH WHEEL REPLACEMENT
Apply the stretcher brakes
Pump the litter up to full height
Lift and support the base hood using string or bungee cord
Using pliers, remove the cotter pin from the end of the fifth wheel pivot rod and remove the two washers
