Pressure Transmitter Terminal Block Assembly Replacement
Safety Precautions
De-energize transmitters before removing threaded housing covers
Ensure no flammable or combustible atmosphere is present before disconnecting equipment
Disassembly
Turn off the transmitter power source
Turn the cover lock screw clockwise to disengage the lock (if applicable)
Remove the covers from the field terminals and electronics compartments by rotating counterclockwise
Remove the digital display by rotating it counterclockwise (if applicable)
Loosen the two captive screws and remove the electronics module from the housing
Pressure Transmitter SV Rerange Calibration
Initial Setup
Is the FoxCalTM feature enabled?
Rezero the transmitter output once it has stabilized at the final operating temperature.
Calibration Check
Perform a two-point calibration if FoxCalTM is enabled.
Check underrange and overrange output values to ensure they extend beyond 4 and 20 mA, respectively.
Zero Reading Check (DP Transmitters Only)
Return the output to linear mode for zero reading check.
Return the transmitter output to square root mode after zero check is complete.
Pressure Transmitter Zero Adjustment
Transmitters with the Optional Display
Unlatch the external zero button by turning it 90 degrees counterclockwise
Check for possible messages on the display
Relatch the external zero button by turning it 90 degrees clockwise
Set or Reset Using the Optional Display
Apply zero pressure to the transmitter or use a bypass valve to equalize pressure
Press the external zero button until the display reads CAL AT0, then release
Wait for the display to read AT0done to complete calibration
Apply the lower range value (LRV) pressure to the transmitter
Pressure Transmitter Two-Point Field Calibration
Preparation
Ensure the FoxCalTM feature is enabled before starting calibration
Is the input pressure accuracy at least four times better than the transmitter’s reference accuracy specification?
Calibration Process
Perform calibration at LRV and URV points
Disable FoxCalTM feature if performing two-point calibration
Rezero the transmitter output after stabilization at final operating temperature
Check underrange and overrange output values to ensure they extend beyond 4 and 20 mA, respectively
For DP transmitters, return output to linear mode before zero check and back to square root mode after
Pressure Transmitter Calibration
Preparation
Ensure the transmitter is not write protected
Disable FoxCalTM if performing a two-point calibration
Ensure the transmitter is in normal operating mode
Access Calibration Mode
Press the NEXT button until the display reads CALIB
Press the ENTER button to select CALIB
