Pentair Ultra Energy Efficient Pump INTELLIFLO VS + SVRS

If the pump is installed below the water level of the pool, close the return and suction lines before opening the hair and lint pot on the pump.

1. Press the Stop button to stop the pump and switch off the pump at the circuit breaker.

2. Disconnect the communication cable from the pump.

3. Relieve pressure in the system.

4. Turn the clamp and lid in a counterclockwise direction until it stops.

6. Remove the basket and put the debris into the trash and rinse out the basket. If the basket is cracked, replace the basket.

7. Replace the basket and fill the pump pot and volute with water up to the inlet port.

8. Clean the cover, o-ring, and sealing surface of the pump pot. Grease the o-ring with a silicone based lubricant.

Shade the motor and controller from the sun

Ensure any enclosure is well ventilated to prevent overheating

Check the motor fan cover and cooling fins for proper ventilation

Provide ample cross ventilation

Ensure motor is protected from any foreign matter

Verify no pool chemicals are stored or spilled near the motor

Avoid sweeping or stirring up dust near the motor while it is operating

Ensure the pump is turned off and has not been operating without water in the strainer pot.

Check that the strainer pot is cool to the touch before opening.

Inspect the strainer basket through the see-through lid for leaves and debris.

Open the strainer pot with caution if cleaning is necessary.

Remove and clean the strainer basket if debris is present.

Ensure SVRS system is set up for operation at maximum flow

Verify filter is in clean condition if system includes a filter

Remove the drain plug from the pump strainer housing

Install the vacuum gauge into the 1/4” NPT housing opening

Start and operate the IntelliFlo® VS+SVRS Pump at maximum intended flow or speed
