Check the following for tightness and blockages

Inspect vent system for snow or ice obstructions

Remove any snow or ice obstructing the plastic intake or exhaust pipes

Remove hoses from cold end header box

Twist and pull screens to remove

Rinse screens with tap water if needed

Filter Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect all air filters for cleanliness and damage

Is cleaning or replacement of any filter necessary?

Clean or replace filters as necessary

High-Efficiency Filter Considerations

Is a high-efficiency filter installed?

Measure the static pressure drop across the high-efficiency filter

Is the static pressure drop within acceptable limits?

Is the thermostat calling for heat?

Are access panels securely in place?

Is the main disconnect switch closed?

Is there a blown fuse or tripped breaker?

Is the filter dirty or plugged?

Clean or replace the filter if dirty or plugged.

Ensure furnace has operated for a minimum of 15 minutes with correct manifold pressure and gas flow rate.

Take combustion sample beyond the flue outlet.

Is the combustion sample within acceptable range as per Table 17?

Is the installation altitude between 4501 - 10,000 feet (1373 to 3048 m)?
