Is the pump installed below the water level of the pool?

Close the following lines if pump is below water level

Pump Shutdown and Disconnection

Press the Stop button to stop the pump

Switch off the pump at the circuit breaker

Disconnect the communication cable from the pump

Pressure Relief and Lid Removal

Ensure SVRS system is set up for operation at maximum flow

Verify filter is in clean condition if system includes a filter

Remove the drain plug from the pump strainer housing

Install the vacuum gauge into the 1/4” NPT housing opening

Start and operate the IntelliFlo® VS+SVRS Pump at maximum intended flow or speed

Is an external flow meter required?

Shade the motor and controller from the sun.

Ensure any enclosure is well ventilated to prevent overheating, especially around the motor fan cover and cooling fins.

Provide ample cross ventilation.

Protect the motor from any foreign matter.

Ensure no pool chemicals are stored or spilled near the motor.

Avoid sweeping or stirring up dust near the motor while it is operating.

Has the motor been damaged by dirt?

Inspect the basket through the top see-through lid for leaves and debris.

Ensure the pump has not failed to prime and has not been operating without water in the strainer pot.

Confirm the strainer pot is cool to the touch before opening.

Open the strainer pot with extreme caution.

Remove the basket from the strainer pot.

Clean the basket to remove all leaves and debris.
