Acknowledge understanding of the warning regarding air purging and freezing risks

Confirm use of propylene glycol antifreeze only

Drain all water from pump and piping when expecting freezing temperatures or when storing pump for a long time

Keep motor dry and covered during storage

Ensure pump is not covered with plastic to avoid condensation/corrosion problems

Ensure the pump is stopped and all valves in suction and discharge are closed.

Verify that all pressure is released from the system before proceeding.

Confirm that the strainer pot temperature is cool to touch before opening.

Remove trap cover handle ring by turning counterclockwise. Use a rubber mallet if necessary.

Remove and clean the strainer basket. Ensure all holes are clear and flush with water.

Verify that the basket is replaced correctly with the large opening at the pipe connection port.

Clean and inspect the lid O-Ring and reinstall on trap.

Turn OFF power to motor before draining pump

Pump down water level below all inlets to the pool

Use low pressure air to blow accumulated water from the piping system

Cap inlet piping after draining to keep water out of the pipes

Remove trap cover and drain the tank body through the drain plugs

Describe any observed cracks, damage, or advanced weathering on the covers

Is any cover loose, cracked, damaged, broken, or missing?

Close the pool or spa if any cover is loose, cracked, damaged, broken, or missing

Shut off the pump if any cover is loose, cracked, damaged, broken, or missing

Post a notice if any cover is loose, cracked, damaged, broken, or missing

Keep the pool or spa closed until an appropriate certified cover is properly installed

Replace drain covers as necessary

Check that all suction outlet covers are maintained and correctly installed
