- Melting plate:
Check melting plate for charred material, clean if necessary
- Base plate:
Check base plate for material residue or other impurities, clean if necessary;
1 Daily Melter Inspection
WARNING!: When damaged parts endanger the operating safety and/or the safety of personnel, switch off the bulk melter and have the damaged parts replaced by qualified personnel. Use only original Nordson spare parts.

1 Monthly Melter Maintenance
Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!
Re-tighten the following components with a torque wrench while the material is still soft (approx. 70 ° C/158 ° F, depending on the material)

Re-tighten the following components crosswise
Pump: Fixing screws, A, B
Safety valve, A
Sign off on the melter maintenance
15000 Hourly / 2 Yearly Motor and Gear Box Lubricant Change
Warning: Drain lubricant when warm. Use only the stated lubricant or one that has proven to be equivalent. Using any other lubricant can result in premature wear and/or damage to the gear box. Properly dispose of the old lubricant according to local regulations.
Gear box removed from the motor?
Casing washed with suitable cleaning agent and lubricant residue removed?
Lubricant Changing Interval: When lubricant temperature is below 100° C / 212° F: Every 15000 hours of operation or at least every 2 to 3 years.

Control Panel Replacement
WARNING: Risk of electrical shock. Failure to observe may result in personal injury, death, or equipment damage.

Check the tools you have
WARNING: Disconnect the bulk melter from the line voltage.
Set the main switch to 0/OFF and Open electrical cabinet door.
Unplug bus cable from old control panel.
Release the M4 hexagon nuts and remove with the tooth lock washers.
Press old control panel and old seal forwards and out of the electrical cabinet door.
Insert the new control panel and secure it using the tooth lock washers.
