1 Yearly Filter Element Replacement
Tool to be used: Allen wrench
Remove the filter case. Turn the filter case counterclockwise.
Remove the socket head screw.
Pull out the baffle. The filter element can be removed.
Replace the filter element.
Fix the baffle.
Tighten the socket head screw.
Fix the filter case. Turn the filter case clockwise.
Sign off on the filter element replacement
Battery Replacement
If a servo control battery alarm or a servo control alarm is displayed on the screen of the operating panel, the battery for detecting the absolute position is likely to be decreasing in voltage. Refer to “B.
Detailed alarm description and remedies” and confirm the alarm number displayed in the LED section of the servo control unit. If the number denotes a decrease in the battery voltage, replace the battery using the procedure below.

!CAUTION:
! The internal circuits of the servo amplifier could suffer static damage. Be absolutely certain to observe the following:
- Electrically ground your body and the working bench.
- Keep hands away from electroconductive sections such as the connector pins or electronics.
A. Battery replacement procedure
(1) Open the window of the operations section (for the MR-J2-200CT/-350CT, also remove the front cover).
1 Yearly Machine Inspection
1. Foundation:
- Checking and adjusting the bed level using a level.
2. Grounding resistance:
- Checking for a grounding resistance of 100 ohms or less (use a 500 V megger).
1 Daily Machine Inspection
1. General: Arranging the machine periphery in order, cleaning the machine and its periphery (especially, the floor).
2. Headstock:
- Checking the chuck unit and its periphery for chips.
- Checking for secure mounting of the top jaws.
- Checking for smooth chucking/unchucking.
- Greasing the chuck unit
3. Tailstock:
- Checking the tailstock spindle for chips.
- Checking the tailstock body and tailstock spindle for smooth forward/backward movement
6 Monthly Hydraulic Unit Maintenance
Inspection when starting hydraulic unit
Check pump rotation direction
Check that the pressure is set to 5 MPa (712 PSI)
Inspection and maintenance of hydraulic unit
Replenish the hydraulic oil when the oil level gauge float is below the center
Remove the cap on the supply port of the oil tank
Replenish the hydraulic oil through the supply port up to the yellow line of the oil level gauge
Fasten the supply port cap securely
Replacing the hydraulic oil and cleaning the strainer
