Check that all components are properly connected

Ensure gas and liquid side service valves are fully open

Remove the battery cover by pulling it according to the arrow direction

Insert new batteries ensuring correct polarity (+) and (–)

Reattach the battery cover by pushing it back into position

Pour a glass of water on the evaporator

Ensure the water flows through the drain hose without any leakage

Check that the drain hose points downward for easy drain flow
