Remove the Bucket, the Air filter and Front grille

Remove the screw fastening the Control box

Remove screws on all sides of the cabinet

Lift the Cabinet from the base

Remove the screw fastening the earth wire inside the control box

Remove the screw fastening the control box and unhook it from the shroud

Reciprocating Compressor PTC / Overload Protector Disassembly

Discharge the refrigerant using a refrigerant Recovery System

Unbraze the suction and discharge tubes at the compressor connections after purging the unit completely

Remove the screw or nut fastening the terminal cover

Check mark

Disconnect the lead wire from the overload protector or PTC assembly

Remove the overload protector (OLP) or PTC assembly

Post disassembly cleanup

Shroud / Drain Pan Disassembly

Discharge the refrigerant using a refrigerant Recovery System

Unbrace the Discharge and the Suction tube connected to the compressor carefully after purging the unit completely

Remove 2 screws that fasten the H/E

Check mark

Unfasten 2 screws that secure the shroud on the sides and lift shroud from the drain pan

Unfasten 2 screws that secure the shroud on the sides

Lift shroud from the drain pan

Check mark

Unfasten 2 screws that secure the drain pan to base pan

Check mark

Pull the drain pan backward then take it up from the base

Check mark

Pull the drain pan backward

Condenser / Evaporator / Capillary Tube Disassembly

Check mark

Remove the insulation on the Heater/Evaporator (H/E) assembly

Check mark

Pierce the pinch-off tube to discharge the refrigerant, using a refrigerant recovery system

Check mark

After discharging the refrigerant completely, remove 2 screws between the housing assembly and the H/E

Check mark

Lift the H/E and open the H/E around 45 degree counterclockwise carefully

Check mark

Unbraze each of interconnecting tubes of the evaporator and condenser carefully

Check mark

Remove the H/E assembly from the orifice

Check mark

Unbraze the capillary tube at the connections of the condenser and evaporator

Check mark

Remove 4 screws between the condenser and evaporator

Check mark

Check that all parts are removed and accounted for
