Condenser / Evaporator / Capillary Tube Disassembly
Remove the insulation on the Heater/Evaporator (H/E) assembly
Pierce the pinch-off tube to discharge the refrigerant, using a refrigerant recovery system
After discharging the refrigerant completely, remove 2 screws between the housing assembly and the H/E
Lift the H/E and open the H/E around 45 degree counterclockwise carefully
Unbraze each of interconnecting tubes of the evaporator and condenser carefully
Remove the H/E assembly from the orifice
Unbraze the capillary tube at the connections of the condenser and evaporator
Remove 4 screws between the condenser and evaporator
Check that all parts are removed and accounted for
Cabinet / Control Box Disassembly
Remove the Bucket, the Air filter and Front grille
Remove the screw fastening the Control box
Remove screws on all sides of the cabinet
Lift the Cabinet from the base
Remove the screw fastening the earth wire inside the control box
Remove the screw fastening the control box and unhook it from the shroud
Shroud / Drain Pan Disassembly
Discharge the refrigerant using a refrigerant Recovery System
Unbrace the Discharge and the Suction tube connected to the compressor carefully after purging the unit completely
Remove screws that fasten the H/E
Unfasten screws that secure the shroud on the sides and lift shroud from the drain pan
Unfasten 2 screws that secure the shroud on the sides
Lift shroud from the drain pan
Unfasten screws that secure the drain pan to base pan
Unfasten 2 screws that secure the drain pan to base pan
Pull the drain pan backward then take it up from the base
Fan / Motor Disassembly
Fan Removal
Turn the nut left and pull out the Fan by hands carefully
Heat Exchange Removal
Remove screws that fasten Heat Exchange
Lift the Heat Exchange and open it around 45 degrees clockwise carefully
Motor Disassembly
Unfasten screws that secure the Motor and earth wire
Remove the Motor
Post Disassembly Check
Compressor Disassembly
Discharge the refrigerant using a refrigerant Recovery System
Unbraze the suction and discharge tubes at the compressor connections after purging the unit completely
Remove the nuts and washers fastening the compressor
Remove the compressor
Post disassembly cleanup
Ensure all tools are accounted for
Dispose of any waste materials properly
