!CAUTION: Incorrect installation of mechanical seal. Damage to the machinery!

Ensure assembly/installation is carried out by qualified specialist personnel.

General Rules for Installing the Mechanical Seal

Remove protective wrapping of contact faces immediately before installation.

Prevent any damage to the sealing surfaces or O-rings.

Insert mechanical seal 433 and O-rings 412.01.

Fit the drive lantern and screw on nuts 920.03.

Ensure only qualified personnel perform work on the pump set

Allow the pump set to cool down to ambient temperature

Use suitable transport devices and lifting equipment for heavy components

Observe all safety instructions and information

Shut down the pump set properly

Close shut-off elements in suction and discharge line

Drain the pump and release the pump pressure

Close any auxiliary connections

Ensure compliance with safety regulations at the installation site.

Verify that the pump set is not energized before opening.

Perform maintenance work outside potentially explosive atmospheres.

Prepare a maintenance schedule focusing on lubricants, shaft seal, and coupling.

Ensure the pump set cannot be started unintentionally by disconnecting electrical connections.

Observe all relevant laws regarding hazardous fluids and materials.

WARNING: Motor tipping over. Risk of crushing hands and feet!

Suspend or support the motor to prevent it from tipping over.

Undo hexagon socket head cap screws 914.01.

Undo hexagon socket head cap screws 914.01 again.

Take off coupling 862 with pin 560.

Unscrew and remove hexagon head bolts 901.02 or 901.04 and washer 554.02 or 554.04.

Ensure the motor is mounted on the pump

Fasten coupling 862 with pin 560 and screws 914.01

Lower the coupling 862 to its lowest position, then raise it by 1.5 mm

Verify no clearances remain between the coupling halves and fasten the coupling

Ensure the motor is mounted on the pump
