Close all access doors; replace and secure all removable panels.

Close the user’s shut-off valve between the machine and the air main.

Is the blowoff protection and system pressure monitoring switched off?

Read the blowoff pressure on the valve.

Observe the pressure indicator on the SIGMA controller.

Check for unfavourable operating conditions

Change the fan motor bearings (re-greasable bearings)

Change the compressor drive motor bearings

Unscrew the nuts (4) and lift out the cover (3) together with the air filter cartridge (2).

Unscrew the nut (1) and remove the air filter cartridge.

Ensure no liquids are used to clean the air filter cartridge.

Verify all sealing surfaces are matched to each other.

Confirm the use of suitable air filter cartridges to prevent dirt ingress.

Clean the air filter cartridge by tapping.

Wear long-sleeved clothing and gloves.

Dispose of the old oil in accordance with local environment protection regulations.

Has the machine been running at least five minutes under LOAD?

Is the machine fully vented (no pressure)?

Check the pressure gauge on the oil separator tank and ensure it indicates zero.

Changing the Oil with Internal Pressure

Check the cooler visually for leaks

Is there any visible contamination on the cooler?

Record the airend discharge temperature

Is the airend discharge temperature within the normal range?

Ensure an authorised KAESER service agent checks the cooler for internal leaks

Was the internal leak check completed by the service agent?
