Ensure the following seal materials are not used

Ensure EPDM is used as the seal material

Select the type of cleaning solution to prepare

Add 100 l of chlorine-free water

Alternatively, measure 2.2 l of NaOH at 33% and add to 100 l of chlorine-free water

Check for any leaks around the valve

Ensure smooth operation of the valve

Apply suitable lubricants to the seat seal material during assembly

Record the maintenance activities performed on the valve

Attach any relevant statistics for planning future inspections

Wear rubber gloves during all cleaning procedures

Check for the presence or possible formation of potentially explosive atmospheres before starting assembly and disassembly works

Clean the external part of the valve and/or actuator to avoid excessive accumulation of dust, combustible, or explosive materials

Ensure no accumulation exceeds a thickness of 2 mm

Ensure the valve and pipes are not under pressure

Verify that the actuator is disconnected from the compressed air

Inspect the following components

Record any problems found during inspection

Ensure spare replacement seals are in stock

Ensure all equipment is in place for sterilization

Verify that no cold fluid will enter the equipment during sterilization

Confirm that the equipment is not started during sterilization

Record the maximum temperature during sterilization

Record the maximum time of sterilization in minutes
