Ensure the following seal materials are not used

Ensure EPDM is used as the seal material

Select the type of cleaning solution to prepare

Measure 1 kg of NaOH or 2.2 l of NaOH at 33%

Add to 100 l of chlorine-free water

Wear rubber gloves during all cleaning procedures

Ensure no potentially explosive atmospheres are present before starting assembly and disassembly works

Clean the external part of the valve and/or actuator to avoid excessive accumulation of dust, combustible, or explosive materials

Ensure no accumulations exceed a thickness of 2 mm

Check for absence of leaks around the valve

Is the valve operating smoothly?

Apply suitable lubricants to the seat seal material

Record the maintenance activities performed

Attach any relevant statistics for planning future inspections

Ensure the valve and pipes are not under pressure

Confirm that the actuator is disconnected from the compressed air

Verify that the valve and pipes are not hot

Inspect the following components

Record any problems observed during inspection

Check if spare replacement seals are in stock

Ensure all equipment is in place for sterilization

Verify that no cold fluid is present in the equipment

Confirm sterilization with steam is applied to all equipment including the pigging

Ensure equipment is not started during sterilization

Record the maximum temperature during the SIP process

Record the maximum time of the SIP process in minutes
