CCM Replacement
Preparation
Ground yourself by touching the controller enclosure or power supply
Turn off all controller system power by removing connectors for both AC power and the standby battery
Disconnect the DC battery
Disconnect the main power to the controller
Remove the AC fuse located on the power supply
Old CCM Removal
Locate the CCM
Remove the screws anchoring the CCM circuit board
System Testing
Preparation
Connect a printer to the controller
Temporarily connect a ScramblePad at the Controller
Turn on all disabled RQEs
Add a Test ScramblePad Code
Enter Programming Mode
Press START 10 * 1 * 100 * 65 #
Press START 100 #
Enter the test code from each permanently installed ScramblePad
AEB8 Testing
Attach a printer to the Controller or ensure the Controller is attached to a Host PC
Power the system up by connecting the AC power and then the standby battery
Verify the system goes through its self-test and prints the configuration information
Check the printed Expansion Inputs
Verify the controller version compatibility
Check the Options section for the line: AEB8-N where N is the number of AEB8s installed
Use Command 88*2 from the ScramblePad or Host PC software to request Max Users and Options information
If the correct information doesn’t appear on the printouts, power down the Controller and recheck the EBIC connections, then retry the test procedure
Power down the Controller
Controller SNIB / SNIB2 / SNIB3 Replacement
Preparation
Ensure the controller's CCM firmware version is 7.5.37 or later.
Update the CCM firmware if necessary.
Power Down the Controller
Disconnect the battery backup power from the controller.
Disconnect the AC power cables to the controller.
Disconnect Existing SNIB/SNIB2
Disconnect the following cables and wires from the existing SNIB or SNIB2 board
Remove Existing SNIB/SNIB2
REB8 Testing
Initial Setup
Ensure connections are properly made
Connect AC power
Connect standby battery
System Self-Test Verification
Did the system complete the self-test successfully?
Record the printed or displayed information from the self-test
Configuration and Options Check
Is the Expansion Relays count correct based on the number of REB8s installed?
