Locate existing memory battery
Unplug memory battery connector

Mx-1 Controller Memory Battery Replacement
Preparation
Ensure the Mx-1 controller's power remains on during the battery replacement.
Battery Replacement
Measure the voltage of the current memory battery.
Is the battery voltage below 3.00 VDC?
Locate the memory battery on the Mx-1 controller’s main board as shown in Figure 9-2 on page 9-8.
Replace the memory battery with a new one that has equivalent specifications (3.7 VDC, 300 mAh, 30.0 mm diameter, 4.9 mm thick).
Post-Replacement Verification
Did the Mx-1 controller lose data during the battery replacement?
REB8 Testing
Initial Setup
Ensure connections are properly made
Connect AC power
Connect standby battery
System Self-Test Verification
Did the system complete the self-test successfully?
Record the printed or displayed information from the self-test
Configuration and Options Check
Is the Expansion Relays count correct based on the number of REB8s installed?
Controller SNIB / SNIB2 / SNIB3 Replacement
Pre-Replacement Checks
Is the controller's CCM firmware version 7.5.37 or later?
Update the CCM firmware if necessary.
Power Down the Controller
Disconnect the battery backup power from the controller.
Disconnect the AC power cables to the controller.
Disconnect Existing SNIB/SNIB2
Disconnect the following cables and wires from the existing SNIB or SNIB2 board
Remove Existing SNIB/SNIB2
