Identiv Power Limitation Board CL2

Ensure the controller's CCM firmware version is 7.5.37 or later.

Update the CCM firmware if necessary.

Disconnect the battery backup power from the controller.

Disconnect the AC power cables to the controller.

Disconnect the cables and wires attached to the existing SNIB or SNIB2 board, including:

Ground yourself by touching the controller enclosure or power supply

Turn off all controller system power by removing connectors for both AC power and the standby battery

Remove the screws anchoring the CCM circuit board

Remove the old CCM by grabbing the circuit board by the edges and pulling it up and away from the controller board

Order replacement memory battery

Prepare tools and new memory battery

Open Mx controller’s enclosure and locate existing memory battery

Unplug memory battery connector

Cut and remove existing cable tie

Replace and connect new memory battery

Secure new memory battery with cable tie

Close Mx controller’s enclosure

Check for alarms and restore data if necessary

Attach a printer to the Controller or ensure the Controller is attached to a Host PC

Power up the controller by connecting AC then standby battery

Verify system self-test printout

Check for MEB/CE4: Max Users = 4,095

Check for MEB/CE16: Max Users = 16,383

Check for MEB/BE: Buffer Expansion in Options section

Check for MEB/CB64: Max Users = 65,536 and CODE Expansion, Buffer Expansion in Options section

Check for MEB/CB128: Max Users = 131,072 and CODE Expansion, Buffer Expansion in Options section

If networked, view maximum user information using Host PC software

Attach a printer to the Controller or ensure the Controller is attached to a host PC

Power the system up by connecting AC and then standby battery

Verify system self-test results

Check for printed or displayed information

Verify 'Expansion Relays = 8' for one REB8 installed

Verify 'Expansion Relays = 16' for two REB8s installed

Verify 'REB8-1' for one REB8 installed

Verify 'REB8-2' for two REB8s installed

Request configurations and options information using Command 88*2 from the ScramblePad or Host PC software
