Verify maintenance records for air filter replacement schedule

Ensure Tier 3/Stage IIIA Air Filter sensor is functioning properly

Air Filter Replacement and Cleaning

Is air filter replacement required?

Replace the filter element if required

Clean the inside of the filter housing

Record filter replacement details

Safety Filter Element Replacement

Ensure the transmission oil has been changed

Locate the Transmission Calibration Switch

Refer to Transmission Operations and Diagnostics 1300SRM1455 for detailed calibration procedure

Move the Transmission Calibration Switch down to the spanner symbol

Return the Transmission Calibration Switch up to the transmission symbol

Confirm hydraulic pressure is available

Remove the wheel. See Wheels and Tires, Remove Wheels from Lift Truck.

Remove grease cap from hub. See Figure 51.

Remove cotter pin, castle nut and washer from spindle.

Use a lifting device to remove the hub assembly from the spindle.

Remove outer bearing cone and hub from spindle and place on a flat clean surface.

Remove seal and inner bearing cone from hub.

Clean all parts with solvent. Ensure bearings are clean and dry.

Measure and record acidity of the coolant

Measure and record ethylene glycol content of the coolant using a refractometer

Is the pH level lower than 7.7?

Estimate when the pH level will reach 7.7 if above 7.7

Take appropriate action based on pH level

Check that all safety labels are installed and readable

New Label Installation Procedure

Ensure the surface is dry and free of oil or grease

Avoid using solvent on new paint

Clean the surface of the old paint with a cleaning solvent

Partially remove the paper from the back of the label without touching the adhesive surface

Position the label correctly above the surface before applying

Ensure all air is removed from under the label and the corners and edges are tight
