Lift, pull or tension and lower or release a load over a short distance with the unit

Check if the load is held in any position when the hand chain is released

Repeat the above steps at least twice

Is the brake functioning properly?

ATTENTION: If the brake does not function properly, the unit must be immediately taken out of service and the manufacturer must be contacted!

Sign off on the brake function check

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this inspection

Load chain is not twisted or kinked

If the chain is twisted or kinked, report to the maintenance team and stop the procedure

Is the bottom block rolled over?

Load chains approved by the manufacturer

Sign off on the chain reeving inspection

Warning: For safety reasons, hand chain links may only be used once.

Identified the non-welded link of the hand chain?

Enter the new length of the hand chain in mm

Did you use a new link to close the loose chain ends?

Is the hand chain not twisted while fitted?

Sign off on the hand chain adjustment
