Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Is the lubricator installed close to the hoist?

Check that the oil supply is satisfactory

Gears and ball bearings and needle bearings in the planetary gears are lubricated with a special grease

Enter the amount of special grease used

The link chain must be lubricated regularly, in the unloaded condition

Select the type of oil used for chain

If other, specify the type of oil used

Sign off on the Air Hoist Lubrication

Before proceeding, it is suggested that you acquire the recommended spare parts (see the Repair Parts section), the proper lubrication, sealing and tightening compounds.

Dismantling and Assembly Procedures use common practice procedures while referring to the Repair Parts section to determine the names and relative positions. Also refer to the Installation and Maintenance sections.

⚠️ CAUTION Metric/inch. YALE Series Hoists were designed to Metric specifications. Therefore, metric wrenches and tools should be used. Metric threaded fasteners are not interchangeable. DO NOT SUBSTITUTE one for the other.

Use metric fasteners only, as indicated in the Repair Parts section.

Acquired the recommended spare parts?

Acquired the proper lubrication, sealing and tightening compounds?

Referred to the Repair Parts section to determine the names and relative positions?

Referred to the Installation and Maintenance sections?

Used metric wrenches and tools?

Is the hoist connected to the air supply?

Is the hoist moving very slowly in the lifting direction?

Screw in the adjusting screw (12) until the hoist stops or clearly slows down.

Has the hoist stopped or clearly slowed down?

Back-off the adjusting screw by about one eighth of a turn so that the hoist moves easily again.

Is the hoist moving easily again?

Can the brake be adjusted in accordance with these directions?

If the brake cannot be adjusted, the brake shoes and brake discs should be cleaned.

Control yoke (7) is stopped mechanically against the chain guide (4)

Moving parts of the control valve are stopped mechanically

Overloading of these parts are eliminated

If necessary, the screws can be used for reduction of the lifting and lowering speeds

Sign off on the travel limit adjustment
